Great pics Delta and Jon!

Delta, that drift/panning shot is really nice! I can feel the motion and speed in that shot! excellent work. Did you shoot the image or were you driving?

I've wanted to get a shot like this too, but I'm having issues handing over either my camera or keys to someone else. Hmmmmm...

Delta, did you customize the headlights yourself or did you buy these from somewhere? If you bought them, where did you buy them from?

Thanks delta, well that photog did a great job getting your car in focus and creating that drama in the shot.

As for your headlamps, NICE!!!!! Any close up shots of the headlamps and what improvement did the Acura lenses give you? Anything you would have done different with them? The headlamps look great in the above shot!

I can give you guys better closeups once I get my car cleaned... LOL

And the lenses give me a lot more light output and a very sharp cutoff, I will take pictures once I aim my headlights in the spring... too cold and lazy to aim them right now.

I'm actually really interested in who/where you got your headlights painted!

Since the pics are slow, here are a couple I shot on the way home from the bottleshop the other night - the lighting looked nice so I dived into a parking garage...

Nice picts.

Could you take a closeup of the fog light area? Does the cross hatch in the fog light cover plate match the grille material??

Check this earlier post...

http://legacygt.com/forums/showpost.php?p=3237908&postcount=7

It kinda does - dimensionally it is close but not exactly the same, and the plastic moulding could have been a bit 'deeper' to make the cross hatch stand out a bit more...

This is the standard JDM GT fog surround.

edit: I actually prefer this bumper and fogs to the sports kit available for JDMs...

Hi,

Well it's a rainy day for a change, and instead of looking at all the other cars on here, I thought I'd share a couple of pic's of the family hack.

Only mod planned is a tow bar at this stage. Jet ski doesn't get itself to the water...

Cheers

Justin

Lowered... need to fix the ride height up and corner balance it after the coilovers settle... next week the 19" wheels are going on that.

What's the sidewall height? By looks, et35 offset that has moved the tires out and have minimized the gap.

Are you rolling and pulling?

Nice looking forward to seeing the rims on the car...Pics please.

No roll or pulling needed, my fronts arent even rubbing right now even though its sitting that low... and I will raise the front up a bit and lower the rear a bit when I corner balance it to get the wider 19" wheels to fit snugly in there.

and are you talking about my stock rims?

I upsized the stock winter tires to 215/55/17 from 215/50/17 so I can use a common spare tire (overall diameter will be the same with my 19" wheels with 235/40/19 tires) and this tire size has no issue on my speedo and stock suspension (speedo is pretty much spot on with the upsized tire, where it was slightly fast before)

and yeah I will post pics next next week after the 19" wheels are on and after I get the ride height fixed along with corner balancing and possibly a slightly more aggressive alignment.

The picts below (post #39) have the stick rims on the car and the new rims on the floor.

Good news. I have no rubbing, either, and have been "exercising" the crap out of the suspension since I put the wheels on.

If you're not rubbing on +35 18x9, I dont think I will be rubbing once all the settings have be configured properly... might even have to get a 5mm spacer to push out my wheel a bit more because +45 offset might be too neutered.

Agree - +40 offset should not rub with coilovers.

The +35 offset certainly helps to push the tire and rim outward and minimizes the visual on the wheel arch gap. Waaazooo had these rims before with coilovers and never had a problem.

If you are thinking about installing Brembo calipers, the OEM rims will need a 7mm spacer for the rims to clear the calipers. I use my OEM rims for winters and will use a 10mm spacer.

Consider a 10mm bolt-on hub centric spacer. You could leave them on all the time when rotating between seasons. (I'll have to remove the spacers each summer season.)

I'm considering 5mm hub centric spacers.... dont know about 10mm, might be a bit too much because im going after the slightly tucked tire look, just very slightly.

No brembo's for me LOL, my lowly 2.5i doesnt go fast enough to consider brembos nor do i have the will to spend another 2 grand, maybe some brake pads and SS lines but thats about it.

Future plans (3-4 years) are to either get a 201X LGT or 2011 STI... if I get an STI I would keep the leggy for a DD and just toss the RCE T2's on the STI with a change of springs and tophats.

Wheels are dual bolt pattern and coilovers fit 08+ WRX / 5th gen LGT so it would be a very cost efficient move for me since I dont have to spend that much on mods.
