Some time ago I had a local hitch outfit install a hitch so that I could mount a bike hauler to my Outback Wagon. I never had a use for the towing wiring because I never towed anything. That all changed last week when my son's daycare needed a huge grill for their annual summertime birthday bash celebration. The grill in question had its own license plate! Huge! Anyway, somehow I found myself volunteered to get the grill from point A to point B and so the quest for wiring began. Since I needed a quick solution, I headed down to the pricey Subaru dealership in Schaumburg and picked up the L1010SS030 wiring package for ~$95 and wired it in. The hardest part was stuffing my hand under the plastic paneling and untaping the 6-pin plug for access. Here are some pictures that took in case anyone is interested:
