I got my PCV replaced with just IC off. The biggest issue was the clamp at the bottom where hose connects to the block. There is no room for regular pliers and I didn't have the correct ones for the clamp.
Had to get creative. Got some electric wiring lube from Home Depo (clear silicon lube that electricians use to pull wires trough). Didn't want to use any regular oil based lubes; the HD stuff is great cause it dries out quickly without any residue.
Lubed the connector on the block and the clamp on the hose(clamp closed) and slowly pushed the hose on the block. Took some effort but it went on correctly and with clamp closed it sits there well.
Once you have the lower hose connected to the block and clamped, the rest is cake. Easily accessible.
I did the whole assembly of course, not just the PCV itself.
