No Kai, it's a mod. And if you don't agree with it, you can choose not to do it.
It's like you questioning if all of us on the forum, by changing out our OEM RSB to a bigger one, are in fact claiming that the engineers at Subaru designed the OEM one incorrectly. Not the case at all, it's just that there is another, more performance oriented, option to choose, that is rooted in the same sound engineering that the Subaru engineers use, just from a little different perspective. There are multiple ways to do things most of the time.
