Be careful and def use heat. Best time to take dealer stickers off is the moment you leave the lot - or sign the papers and then on the lot, even better The less time the sun has to bake that glue the better.

QD Electronic Parts Cleaner by CRC works great for removing any kind of gummy stuff (petroleum-based included) and is safe on paint and plastic. I always keep a supply on hand.
