Well - the service manual tells you to reposition the wheel if it's off more than 5 degrees, and then if you still can't get it aligned, to mess with the tie rod ends.

If returning to the shop and having them do it right isn't an option, I think rather than mess with the explosively driven airbag aimed at my face, I'd adjust the tie rod ends first.
