I would have polished the surface on the '03 but ended up trading it in. Loved that care but it needed a lot more than a headlight fix...

Got 74K miles on OEMs by not using the AUTO light selection. 2013s may have corrected the voltage spike issues reducing bulb longevity.

There is a motorcycle company near me, Twisted Throttle, that has designed some fantastic LED beams; Denali D2Ds. The lens can be swapped for a wide-spread beam or focused beam. They are only 10W total! They are coming out with a larger light that permits the beam to be focused better.

The second picture notes how the distance was arrived at.

So HIDs, LEDs, these are personal options, and LEDs are becoming affordable with kick ass performance.
