Honestly, putting this car on the track and opening her up is like a dream come true. I have one of the nicest, quickest Legacy and it gives me more satisfaction than driving a sports car. As Mike said, I'm okay with everything that has gone on except for the rapidly approaching D-day reaction to the "bill" my wife is going to have.
If I regret anything I regret the mudflaps (less than pointless on a track car) and the custom interior. It likely would have made more sense for me to get a REALLY nice one piece race seat and removable harness bar. I most certainly do NOT regret the powder coating in any way. It has ALREADY proven to be very tough and protective.
Come to think of it... If I regret anything, its not knowing I was going to want to spend so much time at the track when Mike and I discussed the evolving build and not avoiding the pothole in the track. Lets just say I am going to focus on being close and smooth instead of using every bit of UNavailable track
And after looking at what Block has going on, I'm pretty sure a HD strut mount is a good idea (particularly if I keep running RPF1. F--k it, let the wheel be the soft spot in the suspension. Rather replace wheels than suspension/structural repairs any day of the week.
