I've got the JDM kit, SVXdc's harnesses, and new HU ready for install. Also installing a rear camera. Prolly be tackling the job this weekend.
The information here is great. Most of my questions have been answered.
My HU is a non-Nav Alpine IVE-W535HD. It still calls for a VSS connection. Why? Cannot imagine. I may just ommit.
I also need a wire that has 12V+ when shifter is in reverse for the camera, obviously.
I've tried to discern whether or not the "mythical OP connector" is available in my car - 2008 Outback LL Bean 3.0R. It seems "no". I will check the locations where some have indicated it might be.
Can someone confirm this connector is available in 08 MY Legacy/Outback?
If not, where are the best locations to tap into reverse and VSS? thanks
