I don't beleive its a rev limiter but more the ECU runs out of MAP.
After the first street tune the car runs throw the gears/rpm faster, if your not ready for it the car runs out of MAP.
FWIW, My wagon has the STI tranny mount and it made a big difference in the way the car felt during high rpm shifts. The same mount in my 09 Spec, made very little difference.
178,000+ miles, 5/20/12 new ej257 short block, 8/20/11 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. CHECK your oil, these cars use it.
