Yes.
The harness will connect the power and speaker lines between the car's factory radio harness and your new HU's harness. The alternative is hard-wiring into your factory wires (not recommended).
The 14-pin harness will also connect to the 3 wires on my i88 adapter.

My 14-pin harness has both of the illumination wires (pins 1 and 7), which the JDM HVAC panel needs. No other harness manufacturer includes the illumination(-) wire.
