She was at fault... the 18-year-old girl in front of her hit the person in front of HER, then slammed on her brakes (and ended up flipping). My fiancee didn't realize that if you rear-end someone, you are at fault, so she rear-ended the 18-year-old rather than have more people involved in the accident. Now she knows to slam on her brakes, people behind her be damned. (Also, if she had been rear-ended, the car probably would have been totaled...)

BTW, the 18-year-old is in an even worse situation, because not only did her car flip, the person in front of her is suing her.
