Actually the build quality, fit/finish on the Rogue specifically is very good. I know my in-law's first model year Rogue (base model, AWD, CVT) was built in Japan.

The only odd problem they had was with a belt tensioner or idler (don't recall which), which actually broke right off. Oddly enough, the vehicle was still drivable. An accessory belt maybe? Some Nissans still use a 2-belt system.
