yes, this is only in automatic vehicles. actually, its different from car to car. my car didn't do it when i bought it. my wife's '12 impreza w/ a CVT doesn't do it yet. just if anyone here has any insight. there's a few threads on subaruoutback.org but thats just old guys talking about what they paid or how good of gas mileage theyre getting
