Sorry just found this thread.
I removed the studs from the up pipe, dropped the turbo in place then used bolts to fasten it to the up pipe. Made lining up the inlet and oil return hose 100X's easier.
I used the same bolts that hold the up pipe bracket to the block.
188k, 5/20/12 new ej257 short block, 8/20/11 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. CHECK your oil, these cars use it.
