I removed the rocker assembly on the drives side and swapped out the HLAs. There is absolutely no ticking now and the car is running very smoothly.
Hey, I was wondering if anyone could answer me this question? So I had totally collapsed HLA on my SS before so obviously it needed replacement. But what about a HLA that is not fuly collapsed but only sticks out about half as far as a new one?
Ten of my 16 HLAs on my 22E were like that. I replaced them all for good measure. Are the half collapsed HLAs like in the pic below necessarily bad or in need of replacement? When I bled them, they didn't go back to normal, but were not spongy.
I don't know enough about them to know. But the car seems to be running better. More power and smoother. I know, I know, adding more power to a 22E is dangerous because few people can handle it, lol.
