Full disclosure: I read the DOT standard for vehicle lighting (hear my head thud hitting the table?) and News Flash this product will not be US DOT compliant or approved, so it's for "off road" use only. Personally I see little risk of using the product to drive on the road, but hey, standards are there for a reason. Nobody (e.g. police) will have a clue as to where DOT compliance is not being met while driving and signalling using tap turn.

Maybe the LED lights you've put in are also not DOT compliant? Cops have been known to look for DOT markings on lens, that's about as far as it goes. I leave that up to you to worry about.

And remember, changing lanes safely is always your job as the driver.
