I called Fred Beans Parts. They do not offer a "rebuild kit" or anything like that, but they will sell individual clutch assemblies or random parts. The Subaru FSM says each clutch assembly cannot be disassembled. This is of course not true. You need a spring compressor and a snap-ring plyers, and then each one can come apart.
Instead, Subaru sells individual pre-assembled clutch packs (ex: Direct clutch assembly for $~300).
Also if you are like me and might have burned up your torque converter clutch, a new torque converter is $509. Many shops can cut open the existing torque converter, replace the clutches, and perhaps braze the fins for around that cost or somewhat more (though we really don't have an issue with the torque converter fins folding over).
