I've rebuilt more than my fare share of manual transmissions, but never a 5EAT.
Absolutely the most critical thing to do on disassembly and reassembly, is to measure EVERYTHING. If you don't have a high quality digital caliper, get one. The very last thing you need to do is get the trans apart, rebuilt, and put back into the car only to find out that something is binding.
