That's exactly why I went with the Pilots. The compound is harder. When I drive in the winter here in MN, there a very few days where I'm COMPLETELY on snow. The freeways (most of my commute into work) are dry except for a few weeks only in the dead of winter. (lots of salt used here in MN)
