I suppose as a CYA Crucial Racing should officially state "DO NOT DRIVE ON BLOWN OR WORN STRUTS"....

But... I dunno. I drove a $500 Mazda 323 with TOTALLY blown struts for 2 years and 30,000 miles as a commuter (also road-tripped it from here in SF to Spokane, WA, about 850 miles there and back, two times) with no issues. It's just a bit bouncy when the struts go. I'm sure it could be a safety issue in some situations but I've been in lots of cars with bad struts/shocks and the only thing I've ever experienced personally was the feeling of floating after bumps and then the suspension taking a few bounces to settle. I guess that could be a safety issue in and of itself though if you're driving like a lunatic at the time
