Just my 2 cents.
With a properly designed H7 projector setup, no car needs HIDs. We are just used to years of 9007 mediocrity.

You make a good point, but even I was content with the 9007 setup.
The WRX setup is actually the best setup I've experienced on any of my vehicles. I'm coming from an '89 Honda Accord, '88 Civic hatch, '86 Toyota Corolla, '98 Toyota 4Runner, and a '01 Toyota Tundra, all of these have been inadequate to my tastes. Hopefully this H7 setup will impress me just enough not to get HIDs (with Phillips Vision Plus bulbs, of course).
I'm sure that it will, DM. Back when I was testing lighting, the Philips HiVisibility bulbs in the 9007 were really good, quite a bit better than the stock WRX lighting setup. But when I put the Prodrive projectors back in (H7, VisionPlus) the improvement was dramatic. The HiVis and VP are definitely from the same family, however.
