. C&D wrote an article a number of years back when they got to test a 22B. It required two shifts before 60 but the close ratio gearing actually made it a lot more fun to drive and actually made the car quicker in many everyday circumstances (passing on the highway, etc.)
But, people are so focused on 0-60 times that it is pretty much a given that cars will be geared this way.
