  1. Blue wagon, tinted, black rims driving southbound on 101 near 84 around 6:45 this morning. Too dark to see through both mine and their tints, but I was impressed. Clean car, especially next to mine which was covered in a layer of Tahoe dirt.
  2. Ask and ye shall receive (but not with me on it!): http://premium1.uploadit.org/yevans//google_bike.JPG
  3. I saw a silver lgt wagon driving around Google today at 3:00 PM, I was on a single-gear, wide-seat, huffy google bike with a big basket on the front!
  4. Silver LGT wagon on Villa St. downtown Mountain View on Monday early evening. Someone has a blue 2.5i in the building I just moved into - 68 Harriet St. in San Francisco. Anyone here? Neighbor?
  5. Your welcome! Thanks very much for all your help and for the company at Upstream. Much better then going by myself! I drove to Ft. Collins yesterday and went out all night so didn't get a chance to get back online until now (just drove from Ft. Collins to Salt Lake City - ice highway from HELL and major blizzard, thank heaven I made it without ending up in a ditch like so many others I saw). No squeal! It appears to be gone! I'll keep an ear out for it and if it comes back I'll adjust it or try a different spring. Great trick. Thanks again!
  6. That would be greatly appreciated. I have the same problem and have suspected that the fork just wasn't traveling enough and haven't spent time investigating a solution, but it looks like you have done all the work for me. More pics would really help me out.. Thanks again.
  7. SOS did my fan relay recall repair, and if you didn't see my post in a different thread, they jammed my green diag clips deep behind a bundle of cables completely inaccessible to me after the repair. I had to pull up the carpet and unscrew the firewall plate above the ECU to get back at them in order to reflash my ECU with my accessport. I don't trust them.
  8. So I FINALLY got this done at the dealer. They replaced the fan relay on Monday and said they had to order the ECU. So I unmarried my accessport and brought it in this morning to get the ECU replaced. So there are two strange things: 1) After this was done my radio stations were still correct, and thecd cd was still in the middle of the song that was playing when I brought it in. Wouldn't an ECU replacement clear all that? 2) I got home ready to reload my stage II maps, but my green connecters were GONE! They were hanging out before I brought the car in since I just unmarried my AP. I pulled the rug up, and they were no where to be seen. I took that big metal plate off and still didn't see them. Then I looked behind that big bundled of taped-up cables and I found them, pushed way back and way down. Over here: http://premium1.uploadit.org/yevans//DSC00825.JPG So I assume this is where the ECU is, in the big metal box in the picture, right? Why would they jam the test mode connectors where they did? Did anybody else go through this, or did everyone else still have easy access to their connectors after their ECU was replaced? Weird.
  9. Which Target? The one at Barrington and Schaumburg Rd.? I live right by this one. I don't know of one in Streamwood by rt. 19.
  10. I think I do remember an obnoxiously loud NEON. What is an srt-4? I remember seeing a NEON. ha ha j/K
  11. Hmmm I was getting gas at the Shell station on Roselle just south of Schaumburg Rd. yesterday, and then I drove home from there which would have driven me past the BP by Salem is it? No red badges here, I don't need no stinkin' badges...
  12. Hey Bogdan! I thought that sherrif that pulled out behind me (and in front of you) was going to pull me over! Thankfully he was just using his lights to get into traffic. Good to finally see another NC crew member out there!
  13. I saw a very black gt sedan at Palatine and Ela yesterday at 5:40 PM. They had some very nice looking hyperblack (I think) wheels that looked like they could hurt someone... License plate began with "AH" - anyone? Smoke your taillights and I would fear you...
  14. I come in early and workout, so I usually leave somewhere around 5:30 and get to work by 6:30. How about next week some time?
  15. I have noticed a couple of times since doing this mod that my map lights will be on when I come into my garage in the morning. Just the map lights, not the dome light. I open the door and shut it, and they stay on. They do dim to 50% but don't fade. I get in the car, start it, and they turn off. I turn the car off, I get out and shut the door, and they dim and then fade like they're supposed to. Of course I never notice it when I park the car for the night - either it's light out or I don't pay attention. Thankfully they wouldn't drain the battery, but has anyone else experienced this?
