  1. I'm not sure if I posted this already but here is a go pro footage of my run at great lakes dragaway.
  2. That's true. I usually go to the track with about 1/4 tank left and I'm pretty skinny myself lol so no extra weight here .
  3. Driver is one of the biggest variables! I need to test short shifting myself since car feels like it runs out of steam at high rpms. I think my clutch cm fx350 is to blame for my last crappy times. Here is my theory as to why. "IF" I remember correctly I ran; 14.1 STOCK. 13.5 Cobb STAGE 1 93 map 13.7 Cobb STAGE 2 93 map catted dp (At this point and time cm fx350 was already installed and broken in) 13.3 STAGE 2+ (CATLESS DP + TMIC + TUNE + HEADERS + EWG PLUMBED BACK IN still on fx350) Everything was fine up until stage 1. After new clutch went it it appears that I forgot how to drive. I go to the same track, drive the same way, and go when weather is in 50-60's. Thoughts?
  4. I should fix my old post. Stock = Low 14 maybe maybe maybe very high 13's. Stage 1 = Mid to low 13 Stage 2 = Low 13 to high 12 Stage 2 + TMIC + Tune = High 12's maybe maybe maybe high mid 12's. Stage 2 + TMIC + Tune + E85 = Mid 12's If my assumptions are wrong please feel free to correct me.
  5. Stock to Stage 1 (Cobb) is very noticeable Stage 1 to Stage 2 (Cobb) is a small difference. Stage 2 (Cobb) to pro tune is like whoa! . Unfortunately I get used to power levels very quickly .
  6. Nice! Had similar times on stage 1 ots map a while back.
  7. I had 2 Einsteins in a VW roll by and say "Oh look its the new STI" LOL !
  8. I ran 13.5 on stage 1. Are these stage 2 times we are talking about?
  9. Anyone running fortune 500 coil overs? I know somezero is. Anybody else?
  10. Rce springs and bilsteins will bounce too. Thats what I have.
  11. Lower is not a must have but a nicer ride would be. Not floaty boaty like stock but not quite rce black / bilstein combo. Dont get me wrong I love the rce blacks and bilstein setup when on good quality roads. Its just that I'm not on those a lot. I dont mind stiff but if loads are not perfect this combo I currently have is is rough .... Bumps make your head bounce of the headrest with unbelievable skill especially when its cold. Speaking of bouncing there is too much of it. Passengers can't text on their phones LOL! What causes the swaying at highway speeds? Shocks or springs or both?
  12. Anyone running stock shocks and a non rce black spring? Roads in Chicago are just not meant for bilstein / rce blacks. I want to lower the car more and I want something with a more compliant ride. Will stock shock + aftermarket spring eliminate the sway on highway? Thanks M
  13. Is anyone running rce shocks with non rce spring that lower the car more than rce one?
  14. Based on what I have seen so far Stock = low 14 Stage 1 = Mid to low 13 Stage 2 = Low 13 to high 12 Stage 2 + TMIC + Tune = High to mid 12's Driver seems to be a variable here as well.
  15. These my initial impressions. First 100 miles were brutal I had to move the headrest to a much higher position and radar detector had to be readjusted every 10 minutes because suctions cups would lose grip lol. Now that I have had it for few weeks I'm slowly getting used to it. Stock suspension sucked. I'm glad I made the change. Every time I drove it on hwy and wind blew I thought the car will fly off the road .... It scared the crap out of me most of the time. New suspension travels beautifully on smooth highways however these are hard to come by in Illinois. I mostly drive in the city and I'm used to these imperfections by now. I should have gotten an STI .Time for more go fast mods too bad selection is limited.
