I think he is asking if it should be done before or after settling. I'm thinking it doesn't make that much difference, but if it's a concern, just do it after they settle.

I wonder if there's some psychological reason why people often add exhausts but seldom follow up with a sound/video clip? Fascinating. Doesn't always happen but it does with regularity.
