  1. They should be called "caliper brackets" if you were looking through a junkyard or so. You just need to have the one designed to mate with the caliper itself for the brake you are running. Get a picture of the calipers your friend has for sale, if it has the back plating with two bolt holes for attaching to the car, it has the brackets included. When I ordered my WRX 2-pot calipers from a junkyard I made sure to stress "and brackets", and they came along as a piece. I bet a junkyard would sell the correct brackets if they did not come with the calipers.
  2. Hey, I have seen this car multiple times in person! They also have an all black Mustang built just like this. They are always parked in front of this landscaping company's business. I am pretty certain they do actually take them offroad. People here in Iowa are weird. I know of at least one 50's Bel-Aire and one Corvette Stingray built like this in the same city also!
  3. Unless you get the fancy NGK plugs. Platinum Iridium NGKs are a bit more but supposedly are good for life!
  4. Well, attached are pictures of the endlink connection, mount connection, and the endlink and mount after being disconnected. Whiteline recommends doing this install with your cars suspension under normal load. Jacking it up makes it easier, just make sure when you tighten everything in the end, it is with the car on level ground again. For my endlink connection, I needed two 17mm sockets. Standard wrenches would be easier. Unbolt the sway bar from the endlinks. Next, undo the mount connection. For my setup, I needed a 6mm allen wrench. Stock may require a different size/type. Once you have removed the mounts, slide the swaybar out from under the car (it should be over your exhaust, so don't go yanking). NOTE! For the front swaybar, you will need to remove a protector plate which has 4 12mm bolts. The front two need a 12mm wrench to hold the nuts on the upper part of the brace. Slide your new super awesome-O swaybar in place, making sure it is correctly oriented to clear the exhaust and or CV bars. Take your new bushings, and grease those badboys up on the insides. Throw some grease on the bar at their connection points too. Put them on your bar. Line your bar up, get the bushings oriented in your mount, and go ahead and remount them. Don't completely torque them down yet though! Make sure the ends are lined up with your endlinks. This may require you pulling the endlinks into position to line up with the bar. Re-bolt the bar to the endlinks. If you have an adjustable bar, hook it up on the setting you deem fit! Go back and retorque the mount bolts. Get your tools, get out from under your car, and get ready to feel teh awesome. !!!#NOTE#!!! The bushings are "directional". They will go in easily one direction, and not so easy nor flush the other. Make sure you have them oriented properly. Also, do not grease up the exterior of the bushing, nor any extra area on your swaybar. Under compression, if any of these are done improperly, your bushing may pop out while you are driving. This is not good. (Sorry for the sh#t pictures. I will have good ones up in about a week)
  5. I'm with Jab on this. Although it probably won't be the most powerful, or take the most amount of boost.
  6. im hoping to be able to rallyx and snow race my car. and probably autox, and definitely run it on larger tourng car tracks if the opportunity arises. we have none in iowa though. oh, and blow the doors off ricers.
  7. I do have the stock WRX exhaust installed on my ride. I wish I could tell you about the sound vs. stock, but it came on the car when I purchased it. I do know, it sounds a lot deeper on my 2.5 then my friends 2.2 with a large diameter muffler. In regards to HKS....it's HKS!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. lulz. I need to stop being a car-nerd and planning out what the next upgrades will be after this job lulz
  9. Whore no. Maybe adult performer.... But don't tell anyone at my college! Here's hoping the dude in my local Subaru club doesn't read this post.
  10. I really really want an EJ257. I think I will wait until I can start getting scholarships that pay bank though. Although.....not to brag or anything....but I did just get hooked up with a job that pays $2K for 3 days work on a 5 day all expenses paid trip to Vegas. And I guess if I get in good with this company, it may become a more common thing/I will have opportunities with other companies. Not gonna say what the work is but be jealous Anyways, if that goes well or I get any of the scholarships I am applying for, I am so building a 257!
  11. Despite my car coming with a stage 1 clutch, as well as lightweight flywheel; it appears no real maintenance has been done. I would really like to update the fluids in both my differential, as well as the transmission. I found the guide's portion of which fluids I should check, is there a guide somewhere on how to actually replace the fluids? I have a 5MT. (I did a search and the best topic I found was "5eats rule!")
