if anyone comes across a similar sounding issues...

if anyone comes across a similar sounding issues it ended up being the drivers side window switches.

Replaced the relay and the new one burned out again and issue recurred.

first week super bouncy, after a week night and day difference with no other changes.

I've got pads / fluid and SS lines and feel is still spongy, it wasn't so bad when the pads were brand new but as they wore down the feel got worse and worse (it was never great).

i'd suggest driving slower peak efficiency occurs around 40 MPH i believe which may not be legal, but try a steady 55 mph instead which could be 15% better...

Normal dirt should not be allowed to sit on your car for two weeks. Wash your car once a week if it gets that dirty.

i don't find clay bars particularly hard to hold, or the process taking particularly long. You shouldn't be clay-ing just to clay ... you are clay-ing to remove imperfections / embedded contaminants....
