If anyone has time, see if you can heel toe with the manual transmission 2.5i. I'm wondering if the brake override would force the Legacy to stop.

I tossed on a set of Hankook RS-3s 205/55/16 onto my 2.5i and took it to California Speedway. The shorter tire diameter gave the Legacy more pep (almost the same acceleration as my 08 Impreza 2.5i)....
