Finally! It's only taken the car 16 years to do it, Hell I've put nearly 30K on it since I bought it in May for under a grand.

So I have a question, and I apologise if this has been covered elsewhere. The Haynes manual for our cars calls for 80w-90 gear oil, yet on this site it calls for 75w. Is this dependant upon what you use the car for? Or is there other factors which determines the oil weight? Thank you for any insight.

183,259 miles. Original motor and trans. Because the owner I bought it from had no idea, I've replaced plugs and wires, doing brakes yesterday and today. The timing belt looks in good condition, but the next item on my list is to replace that.
