  1. Hey, I thought all good paint jobs only cost $400....for the bumper.
  2. Car: $800 Paint Job: $400 Stereo: $3000 Suspension Lift: $1000 26" Dubs: $3000 Total value of car: $0
  3. Hi, any close up pics of grille? Thanks!
  4. Donks: because your wheels should be worth 10 times as much as your car (and almost as heavy). This must be a continuation of that 90's fad of driving around in a $1K car with a $5K stereo. I remember seeing a Chevy or Geo Tracker with some bass but it vibrated the cheap piece of crap chassis of the vehicle. I am trying to find a youtube video where some donk-driving idiot takes his car to the drag strip and when he gives the car some gas, the whole rear axle pops off and the wheel rolls down the track. Priceless.
  5. Again, you will not experience any significant power increase without an engine retune. You cannot just add a 3" exhaust and expect your ECU to automatically increase the boost just because of a decrease in back pressure. Your ECU is not just going to say, "hey, I sense an extra .5" in diameter and 2.16 in^2 of cross-sectional area so let me run some more boost, increase the A/F ratio, and advance valve timing so we can get more power." It requires a reflash. This is the same reason why running an aftermarket DP will not yield any significant gains unless you reflash.
  6. ^^Actually, when an aftermarket exhaust company makes claims about their exhaust system, 9 times out of 10 the gains are the result of revised engine tuning so that the engine can take advantage of the larger exhaust diameter. So that fart can on the back of the 91 civic does not add anything in terms of power. I chose to hawgzaust my car for my personal pleasure and also to enhance my driving experience. Unlike honda engines and other inline 4 engines, ours have some great sounding exhaust and are often mistaken for larger V6 or V8 engines. I have been asked many times if I have a V8 under the hood or why does my car sound like a race car yet I do it for my own enjoyment. And on a second note, the stock exhaust is way too soft for me and it is easier for me to drive the car well when I can hear the exhaust. It lets me know when to upshift or downshift without looking at the tach. And I know I could have bought an aftermarket system but I don't think its worth it to spend $800+ for something that will yield little performance gains unless I upgrade my turbo.
  7. I think that it was originally a skit on Conan O'Brien and it became a hit.
  8. Back on topic, I guess... When Chuck Norris falls in water, Chuck Norris doesn't get wet. Water gets Chuck Norris. When Chuck Norris does pushups, he doesn't lift himself up. He pushes the world down.
  9. Amen. Not to threadjack, but I went to Farrish Subaru this past Saturday to take an '09 Spec.B out for a drive and they gave me a Chick Fil a lunch takeout box (they have catered lunch every Saturday), so I was able to enjoy both Chick Fil a and Subaru at the same time.
  10. That would be enough for me to move to another part of the country! Seriously, my two obsessions in life are Subarus and Chick Fil A.
  11. Just wondering the part number for the trim strip that goes across the right rear door for an 05 LGT.
  12. I just went stage one on my AP with a silencer delete and stage 2 Hogzhaust and I pulled 535 awhp on the dyno
  13. Hogmeat, went stage two the other day and damn, that is a nice sound! I was the quietest car at a charity track last September but tomorrow that will definitely not be the case. Just hoping my AP comes today!
  14. Finally got the tech at merchants to loosen my bolts and did the Hogzaust last night. My favorite is the muffler delete option-the car sounded more like an LS1 than an EJ25 engine. Then, took it to stage two and I thought it was a bit too loud. Left it at stage one which sounded just right but since I was in a condo garage, it was much quieter when I was above ground. Taking it back to stage two tonight!
  15. Hehe Home Depot - got the galvanized stainless and I bought a few extras which is why they were so expensive. CTATV - don't forget to include a 3/4 mi test track around your property to test drive your new upgrades.
