  2. thanks for the info. when you say "tuned" do you mean turning off the CELs? if i go back to stock (w/ air pump delete) and unmarry my AP, would it be possible to turn off CELs through open source?
  3. My laziness is responsible for the bent shield. After testing my fully assembled retrofit I noticed the shield was a little sideways. Instead of prying apart the headlight again I took a long flathead screwdriver to the bulb opening and tried to put pressure on the side that was high. Ended up bending the step down on the cutoff. Result, my cutoff sharpness and cutoff was thrown off. I actually only need one legacy shield. Please bring! I will gladly offer you gas money. Or if you would rather ship, I would be willing to pay for shipping.
  4. 2 questions for ya.. I have the air pump delete done, but the passenger side solenoid is fully intact. So as long as I cut the top portion off and remove all the magnetic wiring off the black piece I can plug it back in and it would run fine? Can I pass smog with this delete?
  5. im trying to find another shield to use with my rx330 bowl. i bent my stock ones. the one on the left looks like it would work perfect. i would guess the rx330 non-afs shield (right) wont fit inside our housing without heavy trimming..
  6. i used the rx holder. the e30 lens dropped right in i covered up one side at a time to see the actual output of each projector and the driver side is significantly lower. its also a lot less sharp. apparently the shield being off by 1mm will result in a big difference. i guess thats the issue. ill have to take apart my headlights again.
  7. yea i wrote that in regards to using the rx330 bowl. too much researching got me to actually confuse myself with all those unnecessary parts haha and i actually finished my retrofit the other day. my passenger side is significantly brighter and the cutoff is sharper than the driver side. i used the stock legacy shields with the rx bowls. not sure why this is happening.. http://img31.imageshack.us/img31/932/imag0286d.jpg
  8. for the d2s bulb to fit into the h7 socket, does it require a h7/d2s adapter ring? something like this? http://www.my105e.com/confused/prelude/headlights/DSC01587%20(Small).JPG also will the original metal clip work with a d2s bulb? fyi im looking at the d2s morimoto kit w/ h7 relay. just wondering what else i need.
  9. the inlet has to come out?? how difficult was it on a scale from 1 (intake install) to 10 (turbo install) to take the inlet out? i hear its a PITA.HOLE and by the way, thank you so much for clearing this up. i would've punched an infant if i followed the previous steps to find out there is no filter in that banjo bolt. OP please update to post #1 please.

  13. Why is it that half the shops don't even pick up their phone? I need a Tial BOV flange welded to my FMIC pipe. If any vendors need some $ PM me. Can anyone recommend me to a shop?
