  1. Definitely +1 on the AVO reinforcements, when I crawled under to install my JDM rear bar I couldn't believe how much I could move the stock brackets just by hand... If Cobb is making bars again, I'll have to add them to the list of mods I need to convince the wife I have to have....... and it is already a long list.
  2. So I have been MIA for some time, so sorry if I missed this question while I was reading the old posts. So I finally looked at the 2010 models (I got married 11 months ago........) and saw that they have radio and cruse buttons on the steering wheel now. Does anyone know if those, more importantly the radio button set, work and fit the '05 steering wheel? The shape and size looks right, but wondered if anyone has tried it yet. I have already done this mod and love it, just thinking this might be better to have all of the buttons in one area.
  3. Aaaaa, that makes since, thanks. And I wondered why the dealer had the donkeys in the service area, I just was afraid to ask..........
  4. I know my '05 was a January build and it has a cabin air filter, but I am the second owner and not sure if maybe the original owner had it added somehow.
  5. Even with that I think I'll stick to doing this myself...... I had a dealer do the previous filter then I did the last one and I found several fasteners missing.
  6. Thanks dmlil! I'm just happy we don't have to go through the trunk to get to it.......
  7. Thanks, that's what I thought, the problem now is that the nut that should be there isn't. Looks like I'm off to Lowe's to figure out a replacement.
  8. I did this Sunday, but I have run into a snag. After I got everything put back together the glove box wouldn't latch closed. So I tore everything back apart and found that I am missing a bolt, screw, something. I have attached a couple pics of the location. It is on the right side between the glove box and radio. I know the pics aren't very good, got to love the time change and it getting dark sooner........ I'll try to get better photos tomorrow.
  9. That last photo is crazy, very different and cool.
  10. Question for everyone. I have this installed (me likey enough to get my own Ipod so I would stop "borrowing" the GF's ) but I have a question for those who are using the headphone jack for their Ipods. For me, I have to crank the volume to 100% on my Ipod and then listen to the radio a bit higher than "normal". Is this what people are experiencing? I'm using the headphone because when on long trips my GF watches movies and likes to pipe the sound through the stereo. If using the line-out would fix the issue I guess I could always make up a patch cable (I installed a 1/8" jack in the armrest and also use the power plug for charging). and yes I tried searching and scanned the thread. and yes, I got board and gave up...... Thanks for any help!
  11. All I know is that I installed a kit for my GF's Ipod and I liked it so much I've decided I'd better get an Ipod for myself since she won't let borrow hers. Plus she wants me to try figuring out how to install a kit in her Pathfinder.......
  12. Installed the kit last year (ok, a week ago:lol:) and it went easy, very good instructions! The only part that was a little difficult was installing a jack in the armrest. I used it my entire trip to Chicago and back with on issues (~6hrs each way). The "muted" time is maybe a second when the end of the CD is reached, personally not a big deal considering no more using a FM transmitter!!!!!! One bit of advice for fellow 5eat owners. When removing the trim around the shifter, go SLOW, and don't try it if the plastic is cold. I snapped off two of the plastic retainers when I removed the trim. Some super-glue fixed it, but I was not happy.......
  13. I ordered mine last Friday and can't wait to get it. I'm hoping to get it this week so I can install it over the holiday weekend. Now I just have to go to Radio Shack and find some sort of jack to mount in the armrest.
