  1. Yes and no. I had a shop fab up a dual for my MR2 once... labor was $270 (and that was 10 years ago) and still had to buy the two $150 mufflers... and they just basically welded onto my stock b-pipe. And as we know, MR2's don't have a very long exhaust route. Not to mention any generic garage will have mild steel mig welders or use flux core. Since their welding is pretty erratic at best it comes out looking like the tin man sneezed. Not the sort of quality I like when I'm paying over $300 in labor with $300~ in parts. At that point I think it's better to grab something from a respectable company, then all it takes is a few jack stands, some socket wrenches and a ton of PB blast (if you're like me and from an area with snow 5 months out of the year and they salt the roads). Unless you have a friend that welds and likes weekend fab jobs for the price of a BBQ, 9 times out of 10 you get what you pay for... or you pay a lot and still get taken for a ride. Just been my experience. Which is why I fab up my own stuff now.
  2. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8xqjcv1cSVU]YouTube - Legacy GT muffler delete acceleration[/ame] kind of long winded, but it's normal driving, not a whole lot of sound, then 1st gear full throttle and a touch of second. Rear seats folded down.
  3. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R9swc3aHZL0]YouTube - Legacy GT muffler delete on ramp[/ame] Muffler delete and on-ramp. It's from my phone, so not the best image out there, but sound is pretty good.
  4. Granted. http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s208/mr2man999/my%2007%20Legacy%20GT/?action=view&current=SNC10312.mp4
  5. Just forgot to give me props for the design Cutting the factory tips off like I did was a bit of a pain, but luckily me and my friends make up what we call sketchy garage and get things done. Glad you like the overall result. ~Shelby http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s208/mr2man999/my%2007%20Legacy%20GT/?action=view&current=SNC10312.mp4
  6. Yep, I want to say somewhere around randolph / northfield. I actually have 2 or 3 photos of your car.
  7. Was this you a few weeks ago during that snow storm?... on a Wednesday. Last digits on plate were 45 http://i778.photobucket.com/albums/yy66/therealmcgyver/LGT/DSC_0697x.jpg?t=1268862536 ~Shelby
  8. VT winters... they wreck cars with or without a garage. Which is why this year I had the car's underbody sprayed with oil.
  9. $5 exhaust mod. I just cut the mufflers out, welded in straight and welded the stock tips back in place so it looks stock. It has a nice cackle to it now and again. with the rear seats up you only hear a nice engine note. with the seats down it has a minimal drone, nothing unbearable. It stays pretty quiet until you get on boost, then it has a nice scream to it (according to my roommate as I drove past him). Hangers went in after. http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s208/mr2man999/my%2007%20Legacy%20GT/5%20dollar%20exhaust%20mod/DSCN1918.jpg http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s208/mr2man999/my%2007%20Legacy%20GT/5%20dollar%20exhaust%20mod/DSCN1919.jpg Pics: 5 dollar exhaust mod pictures by mr2man999 - Photobucket
