Yea I wouldn't think gearing affects HP as it can be measured at the crank (and then adjusted for drive train loss). Same as the uppipe; the cat doesn't really reduce power just spool time I believe....

from what I've heard, these engines can take a lot.. I heard they can be pushed to 400-450 whp. Remember it is the same engine as the STi and there are plenty of people going stage 2+ or higher.

I changed the oil (Mobil1) every 3500 - 5000 miles. Checked oil levels infrequently but rarely had it lower than 1/3 over low. Not necessarily a leadfoot but I like a spirited take off occasionally....
