  1. The aux. board has a mini-stereo input jack, that's it. iPod and Sat radio friendly. Digital or analog is irrelavent. You're just plugging in, like cd player to your home stereo.
  2. Ground the wire to the body. Put it under a screw that is tapped in the body of the car. Double check your GL connection, "out" to stereo.
  3. Sounds like one of the mini-stereo jacks is not completely plugged in, which could leave you w/ only one channel. I had a case on my iPod that partially blocked a mini-stereo plug from being fully inserted.
  4. As far as the aux-board goes, the install instructions he provides are excellent. Follow them, exactly. Heat has never seemed to be an issue with my system. I would also install a GLI, to be safe.
  5. One thing I know is, as far as 5MT '06 LGT's, it is not necessary to remove the entire center console. Simply start the procedure by grasping underneath the rear end of the shifter housing trim (stick your fingers down into the leather boot) and carefully give it a quick pop up.
  6. Also, instead of trying to cut out an opening, I mounted the controller bracket on top of the above assembly. ^^^
  7. I used a greyish-black picture framing matte (followed by a thin and fairly soft piece of sheet metal underneath for support).
  8. Just a plug for Jazzy, for any skeptics. Wiring is as follows: from Aux Board---Mini Stereo Ext. Cable to Mini Stereo Plug to RCA Jack Splitter to L/R RCA Cable as short as possible to Ground Loop Interrupt to L/R RCA Cable to (2) All Female RCA Splitters to (1) L/R RCA Cable to SIRIUS Tuner under passenger seat. (1) Y Audio Cable (it begins w/ L/R RCA and ends in stereo mini for iPod) Hope this helps anyone who needs it. Very happy with this setup.
  9. Basically, you'll need two all-female RCA y-adapters, in addition to a few other wires, which will come into play after the ground loop interupt(<<<<highly recommended) giving you two sets of RCA inputs. I am going to post some pics of my setup later with comments on how I wired mine up.
  10. I installed it a couple of weeks ago in my spec. B. This guy is a lifesaver as I have an iPod and SIRIUS. I was not skeptical with the product or concerned with installation. Just get it. I rate his instructions w/ pics. A+, and they are photocopies. Your stated concerns are not relavent, believe me. The NAV and climate controls are individual, unique plugs. Give yourself a 2-3 hour window, follow the instructions and take your time.
