No, I know they are a direct swap and compatible. My question is if the SS steering rack and the first gen Legacy steering rack are the same. I don't think they are since the SS is a turbo Legacy.

The rears are 13 lbs/in less than the stockers. But the tradeoff is the dampening rate of the WRX strut. So, it shouldn't be too bad....

I had cel 51 (also inhibitor switch) on the SS and replaced the inhibitor switch. Code went away but I didn't adjust the replacement switch correctly so when you put it park the pawl or whatever...
