  1. When you take the side cover off there is only one moving part in there. Spray it down with choke, brake, map sensor cleaner or alcohol and q'tips. Make sure you don't leave any cotton or rag threads in it. And last but not least, clean the choke blade.
  2. I wouldn't waste my time, you must open the throttle Body. Why? Because I did all that. Bought a pedal and it kept doing it. My friend had a throttle body in the shop from a customer that decided to replace his. I cleaned it and replaced. WHAM problem solved.
  3. Update, So Fare so Good. After flushing the engine with 20 Quarts of oil, Cleaning the oil cooler, Changing the oil pan, changing the oil feed line to the Oil filter sandwich plate and getting a 40 micron filter for the ipt oil kit i have no issues. just installed a G/S TMIC in December no tune yet (soon) on the first turbo i didn't hear any spooling noise but know it sounds like a plane is about to take off. you live and learn, next up fuel pump and injectors and I'm done.
  4. Not really, I already have all door switches connected to my alarm with diodes. All I need to do is run a wire with diode to the wires on the passenger side A pillar and cut the brown wire and connect the brown dome wire and map light.
  5. I disconnected the wire, so the map lights are back to normal. i will run a ground from all 4 door switches to the dome light. i refuse to pay for a new BIU on a 11 year old car.
  6. No and I haven't disconnected anything yet. I removed the map light bulbs and shut off the dome light switch for now.
  7. got a problem, i changed my map light leds Friday to a brighter 3 watt led and today i found one was blown and now the lights don't turn off. any advice. i hope the biu is not the cause
  8. I change my oil every 3k miles and have an 11mm sti oil pump to feed the engine and turbo with plenty of oil. even though i did every thing you told me, to get the metal out of the engine I'm still worried. i took extra steps to make sure that the contamination doesn't kill the engine bearings. Graddy magnetic oil plug (aluminum nor stainless steal won't stick i believe), changed the oil filter on the ipt kit to a 40 micron after 50 miles and found some metal flakes. changed my oil filter after 100 miles.
  9. So why make someone spend $400.00 to feed a turbo and as you just stated and i quote, Bryan is also not the only one to insist on a replacement oil line to support warranty claims. key word support. I'm Done Here.
