Broken spark plug wire tip

Has anyone else ever had the tip of the plug wire come off in the block while trying to remove a wire?

The wires aren't even a year old yet, and this didn't happen with the old ones I took off -...

and my situation fits gathermewool's to a tee.

intermittent check engine light when I first got it a year ago seemed to go away, then came back in cooler weather, eventually permanently through...

this past Tuesday, had Toyo Proxes (thudthudBUMPthud) 4 it came with replaced with Yoko ENVigor.

Lost some road feel...but also lost a lot of noise/harshness, which was the point so I don't mind.

Alternative Material shift knobs/boots

What alt/exotic materials has anybody seen for used for shift knobs or boots?

I've seen Delrin for knobs. I've been thinking if some type of cloth covering might work....something easily...
