  1. Has anyone considered switching to an LED replacement? They have been making amazing progress with LED replacements in the last couple of years.
  2. I asked a dealer's "Quick Service Oil Change" center to do it once and the mechanic couldn't even find the bolt and I had brought in photos and descriptions from earlier in this thread.
  3. I'm not quite sure how you could do something like this and still have tail lights except for just removing the front parking light bulbs. But doing that might eliminate your front turn signals.
  4. Well that certainly is one way to increase the noise level from your Legacy but I suspect it might only work short term.
  5. You missed earlier in this thread where everyone learns to use dental floss to hold the washer until you can slide the bolt through and get it threaded. Once the bolt is started you just tug on the floss and it will break.
  6. I've been using the Osram Rallye 65w Ultra High Output H7 Special-Service Bulbs since September 2009 without noticing any ill effects. I need to looking into buying a new set for my wife's Hyundai Sonata.
  7. That assumes they can find it.http://forum.cog-online.org/Smileys/FantasticSmileys/embarrassed.gif I was having a oil change done by a dealer a couple of years ago and asked them to inspect the banjo bolt filter. I supplied them with print outs of pictures of the banjo bolt that appear earlier in this thread and they still could not find the bolt. http://forum.cog-online.org/Smileys/FantasticSmileys/undecided.gifhttp://forum.cog-online.org/Smileys/FantasticSmileys/41.gif
  8. You want the 100% Independent Fog Light Mod (NO WIRE CUTTING/SPLICING).
  9. Beautiful!!! Almost too nice to put into an exhaust system. I suspect that piece raises the cost of this mod a bit.
  10. For all we know the screen may have been standard practice on Subaru Turbos in the past. But because there was no notable problem with those turbos nobody was ever aware of the screen.
  11. The fitting you referenced http://www.namotorsports.net/images/detail/con017.jpg would not provide any useful information the way the oil lines are currently set up. If you replaced the banjo bolt with this fitting you would be reading oil pressure upstream of the screen. You would need the oil pressure sensor to be downstream from the screen to read any pressure drop if the screen were to start getting clogged. I suspect that there is not enough room at that spot to reconfigure the connection to put in a pressure sensor downstream.
  12. Although LEDs can be very bright the current technology does not project light far enough forward to replace halogen bulbs or hid capsules for high beams or long range driving lights. The best usage for LEDs at this time appears to be for fog lights.
  13. May be if enough people request it MadDad will offer at least an Axleback for the Legacy 2.5 GT.
  14. Since they both are flat six cylinder boxer engines, it's logical that it should sound like a Porsche. Just so long as it doesn't sound like an air cooled Porsche 6 cylinder from the '60s.
