  1. As long as you bought the recommended minus sized tires, the speedo should read the same. For my 2005 LGT I bought 205/50 17 for winter, which were .25" taller. Speedo was the same, you're not going to notice a 1mph difference. Use the same pressures recommend for the stock wheels. Though you should factor in a loss of 1psi per 10 degrees F and add a couple/few extra psi.
  2. Those look good. Tirerack wouldn't list the wheel if it won't fit.
  3. At Tirerack you can sort by construction. There are some 17" Enkei wheels under $200. I was looking at the Enkei TM7 but they were out of stock. They do have 17" steel wheels. https://m.tirerack.com/wheels/results.jsp?&autoMake=Subaru&autoModel=Legacy&autoYear=2019&autoModClar=2.5i+Premium
  4. No, but they have plenty of good, inexpensive wheels that look better than steel wheels. I bought 17" MSW Type 85 wheels for my 2019 Forester. You could also try to find a set of used Subaru wheels on Craigslist, just make sure they're 5x114 bolt pattern. It's better going down to a 16" wheel, more sidewall means you're less likely to damage a wheel on a pothole. Yes this may affect your handling a little bit but IMO it's better than bending a wheel. I had Continental Vikingcontact 7 winter tires installed on my Forester last weekend. They are quiet and handle about the same as the factory tires despite the extra sidewall.
  5. Friday night: Drove into Philly to see Wierd Al at the Met. Saturday morning: sold it. Hope the new owner enjoys it as much as I did.
  6. Washed it, cleaned and polished the headlights. Listed it for sale. Still love driving this car, but it's time to move on.
  7. https://www.subaru.com/2020-legacy 2020 Legacy will Debut on 2/7 at the Chicago Auto show. I'm going to the Philly Auto Show on Tuesday. https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a26097908/subaru-legacy-sedan-confirmed-2020/ Infotainment system looks similar to Volvo's setup.
  8. Emailed Stern a couple days ago, same story. Still waiting for the manufacturer to have time to produce them. He recommended Philips H7 X-tremeVision. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00RZKIZ0U/?tag=2402507-20 Was checking out Bulbs Facts http://bulbfacts.com/halogen-bulbs/chart/projectors.html The brightest halogen bulbs according to their tests is the Osram Night Breaker Unlimited. http://bulbfacts.com/halogen-bulbs/reviews/osram-night-breaker-unlimited-vs-oem.html https://www.amazon.com/OSRAM-Night-Breaker-Unlimited-Pair/dp/B01I5IA6JI/ref=sr_1_2?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1544063332&sr=1-2&keywords=OSRAM+Night+Breaker+Unlimited+-Laser#customerReviews Think I'll try the Night Breaker Unlimited, only $26.
  9. Last post was in August, no updates since. I'm assuming he hasn't found a manufacturer yet. Found these on Amazon, only 1 review so far. https://www.amazon.com/Nokya-Clear-3100K-Wattage-Headlight/dp/B01MED0ZSK
  10. ^bump Over 1 year since the last post in this thread, any updates? The Vosla bulbs I put in last spring are still working but getting dim. Thinking of trying Osram Night breaker Unlimited. https://www.amazon.com/OSRAM-Night-Breaker-Unlimited-Pair/dp/B01I5IA6JI/ref=pd_rhf_dp_s_vtp_ses_clicks_0_4?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B01I5IA6JI&pd_rd_r=WXZQZPNF0BWTNRX0RSAX&pd_rd_w=AzVOU&pd_rd_wg=w75n2&pf_rd_i=desktop-rhf&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_p=05d75987-58ed-4d36-bbfa-515cd87e4ee3&pf_rd_r=WXZQZPNF0BWTNRX0RSAX&pf_rd_s=desktop-rhf&pf_rd_t=40701&psc=1&refRID=WXZQZPNF0BWTNRX0RSAX
  11. They had an Ascent on display at the Flower show. You couldn't get in it, but I could get close enough to get a picture of the transmission cooler.
  12. I sat in a Forester XT Touring right after sitting in the Ascent, as I said before it feels pretty much the same. Ascent is a little wider, and of course longer to fit the 3rd row of seats. The console between the seats is up higher compared to a Forester. Next 2 questions: Can't really answer that after only sitting in it for a minute or two. As with most cars at the show, there's no way to turn on the stereo/infotainment system. Looked like the same system used in the Legacy & Outback. Didn't take any pics of the interior but the design was mostly the same as an Outback. The rear seats do slide to access the 3rd row, but I didn't try to sit in them. IIRC it seats 7 not 8. There looked to be a decent amount of foot room, but probably not enough if you're tall. There wasn't a placard or tablet showing information about the vehicle, so don't know which trim it was. I didn't look under the hood.
  13. Was at the Philly Auto show on Wednesday, got to sit in the new Ascent. Felt about the same as sitting in a Forester, but with more room and the newer infotainment system from the Legacy & Outback. There wasn't any specific info listed like power or fuel mileage. Subaru Ascent by Stan Kumiega III, on Flickr My favorite vehicle of the show was the Volvo XC 60, about the same size as a Forester with a nicer interior. Starts at 42K, more affordable than the V90 wagon (2nd fav car) which starts at 55K with AWD. Volvo XC60 by Stan Kumiega III, on Flickr Volvo V90 wagon by Stan Kumiega III, on Flickr
  14. I've had the Vosla H7 +100 bulbs in for around a month. While they are brighter than an OEM equivalent bulb, IMO they aren't as good as Osram Rallye bulbs were. Even polished my headlights to make sure that wasn't the problem. With Rallye bulbs, I rarely needed to use my high beams even on unlit/poorly lit back roads. Can't say the same for Vostro +100 bulbs. They work good enough but I don't think I'll be buying them again. Too early to tell how long they'll last.
