  1. i put covers over 3 of mine, and washed the other so the city doesnt bug me for abandoned vehicles in my driveway...
  2. outback or forester struts will give you that lift.. but if you do it, grab the outback spacers for the suspension as well to keep everything right
  3. and heres chip being a tent this past weekend. ended up with a slice in the inner sidewall, so hes down for a while. but we had a great time riding the trails up to that point haha
  4. didnt think og imgur, so i went and made one haha heres bigUgly during one of the stress tests i took it on out in the maricopa wilderness
  5. wow, been a couple years since ive updated. and all my pics are gone... sucks. sooo... smokey the 95 FWD wagon. son messed up the trans, so i pulled the engine for a different car. Lefty the 96 GT sedan. son let his GF drive it, she didnt keep up with fluids and spun a bearing after not telling anyone there was a decent oil leak. pulled the trans/ diff for a different car Hank (the legend) 96 outback. a friend was using it for a couple months while rebuilding and upgrading her car, went a bit crazy and bounced it off a few dumpsters and unidentified objects, went on a cocaine cocktail bender, spun it three times on the freeway after the hood popped up and got it towed by DPS. i didnt find my car for almost a week, because the bender put her in a coma and she died two weeks later. that car still runs, but wheels are bent and cant see through windshield. its waiting for part out to help others... hank jr the 97 outback. stil sitting in driveway with spun bearings, will eventually get an engine rebuilt for him chip the 2001 H6 outback. got him running very well, has been my camping and trail car for a while now. just got the AC fixed like monday haha BigUgly the 97 impreza OBS. still has the rednek 4-5" lift, put smokeys engine and leftys trans/ diff in it. got it all working well, registered it a few weeks ago and have been taking it out on trips lately. not sure if i could camp in it, might be too short for me. thats the status of pretty much most of my vehicles, the civic is still around but im getting rid of that soon. the dodge truck got sold. harley is still there, as well as the 78 sportster. how you guys been? =P
  6. great updates, glad to see youre still kicking around out in the dirt up there... would love to see your harness diagrams for both the FWD and the 50/50 split, i want to do the same to one of my subies. ive been messing around with my impreza OBS with the lift out in the dirt lately, finally got it all running and registered. its currently running about a 5" lift, 30" tires, ej22 from my old 95 wagon (smokey) and the drive train from my old 96 GT sedan (lefty). the gearing went from 3.90 to 4.111 so the bigger tires arent such a drag anymore. id love to do the locker thing, but the money part keeps me from it so far.
  7. had a friend with a 98 or so forester that had the same thing going on, sounded like a knock at higher RPMs. we put some lucas in it and seemed to quiet it down pretty well, but it eventually failed and spun a bearing or two. i think she got about 3 or 4 months out of that engine after that.
  8. that p0420 could be leftover from the exhaust as well, id say clear them and see what comes back after a bit of driving. the sounds you are now hearing, are they seeming to be internal?
  9. i believe it was 6000sux, not 60000 the fact that he referenced the car he did tells me hes probably not old, and was making a style comment, which actually made me laugh.
  10. http://www.spaceagepaint.com/index.html this is the place i go for fasteners and hardware for interior, so far they have had some pretty obscure stuff available, and many books of catalog stuff they can order. not sure if they do online, but mesa isnt too far from ya up in the prescott
  11. i have a 96 outback with 5mt cable clutch, that sucker is a bitch to get feeling correct. usually it feels like its about 1/4" off the floor. as for how far off the TB is from the clutch plate, mine seems to like sitting about 1/2" back or closer, but not touching. my brackets are all beat up so i really dont know what is normal for that car, it has 317k miles on it and runs like a champ. he does grind a bit going down to first from any gear when going faster than 18mph or so tho...
  12. actually, i may be interested in a phase 1 ej25 that runs with EGR at a good price if you have any laying around... i wish i could get the 99 shell, but i already have to figure out how to get two spots in my driveway freed up as it is. an outback bumper would be another thing i would need eventually as well. the longer i think about the list of stuff i may need the more i remember the projects on the list haha
  13. i agree, still havent worked out what im going to do with him yet. was that you with the EJ parts on CL a couple weeks ago? a buddy of mine in chino valley sent me a link to a crapton of parts for sale up there haha
