how can i tell? i had read that viton valve stem seals aren't needed on intake but they do help on the exhaust cuz of the higher heat. so by being viton they should be ok then? i'm just a little...

I'm in the middle of rebuild an EJ25D and was wondering that for the rear main seal if you'd wanna have it installed as far up the crank as it can go or flush against the back of the engine?

I've got the piston wristpin hole lined up and the rod is in the piston, but it just sinks down to the bottom and i can't figure out a way to reach it and pull it up to align it and then keep it...

I'm having a hard time installing the pistons, I can't get the rod to line up with the piston so I can put the wristpin in through the service hole. Anyone have any suggestions?

how exactly do you check the clearances? i've read where people just use a feeler gauge and measure the clearance from the cam lobe to the top of the shim.
