Yea I know how you guys feel. Took me a week to get everything buttoned up to where I could get them to work properly. It was worth it in the end but it definitely shouldn't have this many problems...

Probably. Hadn't seen any other legacys when mine was there. They may need to upgrade to a bigger shop and more techs with the amount of business they've been getting lately. They deserve it.

You should be able to easily do a 1 finger gap with those wheel specs (depending on if its a higher offset). My car has a 1 finger gap on 225/40/18's on a 18x8.5 +48 wheel and the stupid rubber strip...

Looks like I'll have the shop recreate the step. From what I've read, it is a .080" step. Does it seem safe to ground the clutch surface that much more? May even just pickup a brand new one to be on...

The 06 wrx flywheel that I'm using originally had a step. According to a post by Andrewtech Automotive over on nasioc, removing the step and having the flywheel completely flat won't affect clutch...

Thanks Max I'll let them know first thing tomorrow. Also, they say the clutch pedal gradually gets stiffer as the pedal is depressed. Also sent them the link to this thread so maybe they'll chime in.

Back again... Bit the bullet and bought a brand new clutch masters fx300. Was too lazy to do it again (for the third time) so I had a shop install it. They called me saying the car won't go into gear...
