  1. Hmmm, Australia is the same as all of Europe. Looks like Japan is a third "World Standard". Have a look at this convertor which shifts the Japanese frequencies up to the normal band. It has to be connected in series with the antenna lead: http://jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=AR3100
  2. I don't think the Australian market is big enough to get our own unique model McIntosh. Maybe you'rs is just an older model. Does it still have a cassette player in it?
  3. I already posted how back in post#23 and another reminder about it in post#31 Edit: I just saw your comment "I tried the AM hold down thing and it didn't work." I'm happy to compare notes with you to see if we're talking about the same unit.
  4. I already posted a link to how, 5 posts above yours...
  5. I'd assume the JDM is the same as our Australian models, which have the seperate amp under the passenger seat. You can see it in the wiring diagram mickeyd2005 posted above.
  6. The keystrokes to switch the radio between European and US modes are listed at: http://forum.liberty.asn.au/viewtopic.php?p=4305
  7. If your wife was taking the car somewhere dodgy, as someone noted above...
  8. It would be very easy to install a DPST switch instead of the jumper, then you could easily switch from one mode to the other if desired...
  9. Where have you looked? Soon as I've had my first service, I want to investigate the wiring to the steering wheel controls. The steering wheel mute is useless, because it is toggle on/off, but I want to see what happens if I simulate a seventh button. trabbic posted in the "Subaru OEM Plug-n-Play Bluetooth Phone Module! " thread that he saw a "CALL" message on the radio displayed when he was poking around the rear connectors, but is not sure how he got it.
  10. Does the stock NAV mute the radio? If yes, does anyone know how?
