  1. Hey how is your wheel rubbing issue, did you ever solve the problem? I was looking through some threads and ran in to yours. I'm looking to buy G-Force rims and i was wondering if you ever solved your rubbing issue and what tire size you recommend.
  2. nice job i would buy a pair of you for my 06 legacy gt the ones in the black
  3. Where are people buying the new relays (for those of you doing the replacement yourselves)? I can't seem to find them on any of the parts sites I usually buy from.
  4. That buzzing is probably from the XM Commander's power supply. You may need a GLI to eliminate it.
  5. Well, I'll be replacing the stock head unit in my car with an MP3-capable unit shortly. I guess I'll see if that makes any difference with my problem.
  6. The 2005 and 2006 models are not XM capable, so that's not the cause of the problem for me (or Lazzydog or papaya51 I think).
  7. You do realize that those wheels have a list price of $347.58 right?
  8. Indeed. My Outback has sat next to the Legacy for two weeks. When I got home, the Outback started fine and the Legacy was completely dead.
  9. I do actually, although the first time I had the battery die on me was before installing the subwoofer. I may do that when I get a chance. Unfortunately, I've been hesitant about taking the car into the dealership for the battery issue or the cruise control issue (the only two problems I've got) because I have several modifications that might be connected. The draining battery problem happened before I made any modifications to my car, though.
  10. It's not a battery problem in my case anyway. I replaced the battery and it still has the issue (but not as bad, probably owing to a stronger battery). It's fine if I drive the car at least every few days - it has to sit for a while for it to die.
  11. I have the same problem. The car is fine day to day, but if I'm away for more than three days or so, I return to a dead (absolutely dead, i.e. no courtesy lights or alarm chirps or anything) car. I replaced the battery with an Optima but it didn't solve the problem, just slowed it down a bit. I'm at a loss so far. Makes the car useless for driving to the airport or anything that involves leaving it for several days.
  12. In both cases the aux-in was a tacked on addition; I imagine they just stuck the input wherever was most convenient for them. I'm not familiar with the Forester's center console, maybe there wasn't a good place for it there?
  13. The auxiliary input is in the center console on the 2007 Legacy and Outback, not the ashtray.
  14. The lighting was from the map lights for those pictures I believe. As you said, the incandescent bulbs put out a different color temperature than the electroluminescent gauges. White balancing for the incandescent-lit colors results in the correct look for most of the picture, but the gauges do show up more blue than they actually are. If I had white balanced for the gauges, this is what would happen: http://www.smugmug.com/photos/115923824-O.jpg Now, through the miracle of masking, we can get this: http://www.smugmug.com/photos/115923837-O.jpg On an on topic note, I drove a rental Chevy Cobalt the other day, with a full complement of steering wheel audio controls. And yet SoA couldn't see fit to include them on a $29,000 car.
