  1. Probably. I live off cary Pkway near Evans... Actually I think I saw you too...
  2. http://www.prestone.com/carcare/faq.php For those consumers who would feel more comfortable using a phosphate-free antifreeze, our Prestone® Extended Life 5/150 Antifreeze/Coolant is phosphate, silicate, and borate free. This coolant uses a special chemistry and technology that extends the life of the corrosion inhibitor package so that it lasts for five years or 150,000 miles (whichever comes first), and is safe for all cars and light trucks (old or new). Prestone® Extended Life 5/150 Antifreeze/Coolant has been approved by GM.
  3. Just spoke to Customer Service at Prestone. Guy said that all of the extended life formulas are phosphate, silicate and borate free... http://www.prestone.com/products/antifreezeCoolant.php
  4. Thanks... So a jug of "Peak Global" is all I need? I'm not familiar with this brand... which one? http://www.peakantifreeze.com/referencechart.html Side question...this seems crazy...Is this just a subaru issue or do other mfrs pull the same thing with coolant?
  5. The Prestone 50/50 Premix that I have in my garage says it meets all MFR warranty specifications for all vehicles on the road today (as of 2006).
  6. I know what Subaru says. I'm asking is this true. Every Honda or Toyota I've owned has had an aluminum block and head, and I've never encountered this before.
  7. I've searched this but not found anything useful. Why is is that Subaru insists that only OCM coolant be used? Why won't say Prestone low-sillicate do, for example? Or is this more dealer BS...
