sorry for my last incorrect post (its my first time) -
I meant to refer to subaru's 2.5 turbo's variable valve timing system which is apparently AVCS. My engine's problem had something to do...

blown turbo and ALVS
My 2005 60,500 mile Subie just blew the turbo. Under similar circumstances with the other posts, it happend when my 'check engine' light came on and it turns out that the AVLS cams were being starved...
