  1. For those of you looking for Roof racks of all different types I listed below a few manufacturers out there. I am sure there are many more out there and it is likely that you can get them from different stores for less money. I suggest you check them all out to start with to get a feel for whats out there, decide which you like, then do a search online for whatever brand you prefer to see who sells it for less. Don't be afraid to buy used racks from forum members or places like ebay or craigslist. There are not too many moving parts that break or wear out. For the parts that do break, fall off, or wear out (ie: cross bar end-caps) you can easily find replacement parts at any shop that sells that brand of rack or directly from the manufacturer. If you buy used just be sure you know the EXACT part number(s) of what you are trying to buy. I realize that was probably a given but it had to be said. Well, I'm going to step off of my soap box now. I hope that was helpful! If you have any questions just PM me and I'll be happy to assist. Yakima Thule Inno Racks Whispbar Rocky Mounts This thread might be better suited in a different section as it really applies to all years/models of Subarus. Just my opinion though.
  2. Heres my Yakima set-up with the ski rack and two bike trays. Its an older pic. The car looks different now but the rack hasn't changed in a while. It moves back and forth from my car to my fiances car. She has an outback so there are just some places we go where her car is the better choice I think.
  3. you can frequently find them on craigslist or at your local or chain outdoor store such as REI.
  4. older pic. car looks a little different but the rack is the same although its not always on my car.
  5. Great walkthrough! that doesn't look so bad at all. I'm going to have to give it a shot on my gf's sus. btw, heres a link to find hog ring pliers hope its helpful! http://www.sears.com/shc/s/search_10153_12605?keyword=hog+ring
  6. those numbers do look really low for the mods and a tune. or maybe theres more drivetrain loss with the 5EAT than i thought?
