I have the K&N typhoon and have cleaned/oiled 3 times now with no problems. It's not too hard just slowly slide across each pleat and wait the 20 minutes it says. The oil will seep its way through...

They do look identical to Audi rims. They are Enkei SC05 I just removed the silly Enkei tuning stickers. It was hard to find a clean looking wheel with only 5 holes drilled (one of my pet peeves)...
